How to run your own club lottery

Clubs are permitted to run their own 'small' lottery provided that a minimum of 20% of the profit goes to a charitable organisation, and since most clubs have this status it means that all the profits from a club lottery can be used for the benefit of it's members.

We arrange this lottery by printing 'sets' of tickets that have a fixed number of entries (tickets) and a fixed scale of prizes in each set. this arrangement guarantees a fixed profit for the club when all the tickets are sold.

Tickets come in a range of 3 prices. 25p 50p and 100p and most clubs run one of each to maximise choice and all important profits.

In order to make this process as easy as possible, we supply a rent-free machine to vend the tickets, the machine allows members to purchase tickets without staff intervention.

When a member has bought a ticket they open the 5 sealed windows on the rear of the ticket to see if they have won a prize, which is always cash. If they have a winner they redeem the ticket either over the bar or by arrangement with a member of the comittee

On a regular basis (usually once a week) a person authorised by the comittee will 'cash up' the machine and re-fill the tickets, particlularly busy clubs sometimes have to do this a number of times a week.

When a club has sold all of the tickets in a set they may re-order the same set again, or choose another from our range. The purchase of tickets from us covers the rental and servicing of the vending machine, and we offer an easy option for clubs with our "Pay as you Use" system, which means that we will only charge you for the tickets you have ACTUALLY sold and not charge you for a whole box, every time which makes it all so much easier.

Yes. Members like to have a choice and rather than restrict their lottery play by only accepting the few coins they may have in their pockets our machines have note acceptors fitted as standard.

What's all this about Pay as you Use?

Cashflow is tight at the best of times and probably more so just now. Our lottery system allows you to have all of your tickets in advance and only pay for the ones that are actually sold each month, the system reports back to our dedicated secure server each day, and you can login to your own private area to see how many tickets have been sold, it's like an online full Audit. Using this data, we generate an invoice at the end of each month of use and invoice you only for the tickets sold that month. wave goodbye to the days of paying huge lumps of money for tickets that could be sitting there for a few months before they are sold.

Will a lottery hurt our Fruit Machine Takes?

What's the point of incorporating a change machine?

When we ran our site trials for the machine there was a lot of feedback sent in, and one of the main things was that people didn't want to use large notes in the note acceptor, so we put a facility on the machine that would return whole unused pounds, effectively creating a change facility. We trialled the machine again and this time there was a more enthusiastic acceptance, after the trial was run and we went to remove the machine, the chairman of this club approached us and begged us to leave the machine installed because of the positive effect it had made to their fruit machine takes, he claimed that the cashboxes were around 35% up.
